CastelloVicchiomaggio

Day 1 – Monday/Lunedi

We commence the day by preparing a three-course lunch with the finest local ingredients. We will enjoy our meal on the patio overlooking the valley of  vineyards surrounding the property.

Following lunch, enjoy some free time to explore the area because in the evening we head over to a 15th-century palace, rumored to have been designed by Michelangelo. At this hotel, we will watch the sunset and indulge in a Tuscan BBQ-style dinner.

Day 2 – Tuesday/Martedi

After a light breakfast at the villa , we will head to one of the region’s most famous wineries owned by one of the oldest winemaking families in Italy. Following a tour of the cellars we will enjoy lunch on the terrace with a toast to the estate-made wine.

Tonight we have a fun Italian language lesson as we enjoy dinner at a hidden gem restaurant that is a secret to most tourists.

Day 3 – Wednesday/Mercoledi

Mid-morning we depart for the medieval village of San Gimignano. Here we will take a small walking tour of the walled-in town. Guests have the afternoon to enjoy lunch at their leisure visiting local galleries and shops. For dinner we don our aprons again for a home made pizza party back at the villa.

Day 4 – Thursday/Giovedi

Today we visit an organic farm and go on a truffle hunt!  After our hunt, we sample the farm’s artisanal cheeses, meats and honey. Chef Francesco will conduct a lunchtime cooking class for us to use the farm’s produce for our meal. In the evening we unwind with a light wine degustation dinner complete with classical Chianti selections.

Day 5 – Friday/Venerdi

On our final day we have morning espressos in Florence and explore the bustling renaissance food and leather market before our pasta making class.

We will toast our wonderful week’s end with champagne and a traditional Tuscan farewell dinner.
